Cold store logistics

The supply chain under control

Perishable goods – whether fresh milk products or ice creams – have to be kept cool at all times. It is important to monitor and log each individual batch or even individual package unit. System-wide logistics IT has to ensure that all important data remain accessible at all times: from palleting in the production through storage and transport on the refrigerated truck into the retail store. The mechanical components also have to be capable of working faultlessly and reliably at temperatures between -28 and -42 in the high-bay warehouse. Some additional demands are placed upon logistics systems inside a cold store, and that includes lubricants that mustn't thicken.
